What We Do

The Economic Development Corporation of Erie County, Inc. serves as the lead economic development agency for the County for programs and services related to:
  • providing ready-to-go land and buildings for industrial and business expansion and relocation;
  • financing, via federal, state, and local low-interest taxable and tax-exempt bond and loan programs;
  • entrepreneurial assistance through one EDCEC owned and controlled incubator facility;
  • brownfield assessment, remediation and redevelopment for industrial uses.
The Corporation works in conjunction with other local and state economic development organizations, as well as with municipalities and governmental entities, to provide the programs, products, and services that companies need to be successful in Erie, Pennsylvania. The EDCEC will work with a client to identify its needs, and will bring in all other agencies or organizations that can meet those needs in the most efficient manner.
