Brower Appointed to Pennsylvania Economic Development Association Board

Monica Brower, CEcD, President & CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Erie County, was appointed to the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association (PEDA) board of directors. PEDA is the statewide association of local, state, corporate, and non-profit economic development professionals. The organization’s mission is to promote sound economic development policies, provide leading edge economic development education, and nurture an effective statewide economic development network to foster the economic health of the Commonwealth. The board consists of 18 members from all areas of the State who lead efforts to promote legislative change, cooperation with the State administration, professional development within the economic development community, and sharing of best practices to assist our communities and our State.

Brower received her BS in Marketing and Management from Gannon University, graduating Cum Laude in 1987, and was awarded her MBA with Honors from Gannon in 1990, with a concentration in Marketing. In 2003, Monica was awarded the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the worldwide industry organization for economic development. Brower joined the Economic Development Corporation in 1998, and has led the organization since 2003.
